Beveled Mirror
Beveling a mirror simply means cutting the edges of the mirror in a specific angle and size to produce a certain "look". This is normally used in places where the mirror is a focal point in the room and it does not run from wall to wall or there is no frame around the installed mirror. Addition of bevel normally eliminates the need for a frame as the edges of the mirror produce the "look" of the frame. The bevel around the mirror can range in size from 1/2" to 1 1/2". There is an additional cost involved in beveling the mirror, but the increase in cost is normally not significant enough to be the determining factor. Here in Dulles Glass and Mirror we have the machinery to cut and bevel mirrors on site while you wait. You can choose to have the edges of the mirror polished as well to create that "finished look".
